The T. Wall Foundation, founded by the Wall family, is dedicated to enriching the lives of special needs students through meaningful experiences that celebrate their abilities and inspire their future. Guided by a passionate board of leaders from education, healthcare, athletics, and business, the foundation ensures every child has access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.
Working closely with families, educators, volunteers, and community partners, the T. Wall Foundation removes barriers and fosters inclusion so children with special needs can thrive as individuals and active members of their communities. Through collaboration and dedicated leadership, we champion a future of opportunity and belonging for all.
Founded in Family…
Thomas P. Wall, Executive Director: Tom is the founder and Executive Director of the T. Wall Foundation, a passionate advocate for special needs students and families. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Eastern Michigan University, where he also played football. Tom dedicated over 30 years as a Special Education teacher in Willow Run Schools, shaping countless lives with his commitment and compassion.
Beyond education, Tom founded All Star Driver Education and served as Camp Director of the YMCA’s Camp Al-Gon-Quian, further demonstrating his dedication to youth development and community service. Tom’s proudest achievements remain his 46-year marriage and his family, including two adult children and their families. His lifelong dedication to empowering individuals with special needs is the heart of the T. Wall Foundation’s mission.
Brent Wall: Brent Wall is a serial entrepreneur with experience as CEO and co-founder of companies across service, SaaS, and medical device industries. He played Division I basketball on a scholarship at Fairfield University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Brent later completed a Master’s Degree in Education from Wayne State University. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and two children. Deeply committed to his father Tom Wall’s vision, Brent passionately supports the T. Wall Foundation’s mission to provide opportunities and resources for children with special needs.
In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Brent leverages his business expertise to help grow the foundation’s impact, working closely with community partners and volunteers. His dedication to fostering inclusion and empowerment reflects the foundation’s core values and drives its ongoing success.
Meet the Board…
Nick Ford: Nick serves as Director of Corporate Strategy at Ford Motor Company, where he plays a key role in shaping and implementing the company’s global business initiatives. With a strong background in strategic consulting and corporate development, Nick brings valuable insights to Ford’s growth and innovation efforts. Before joining Ford in 2024, he worked at Boston Consulting Group, advising clients across diverse industries. He also played an important role on Ford’s Labor Affairs team during critical negotiations with the United Auto Workers in 2023.
Nick is passionate about leveraging his skills and resources to make a meaningful impact and is committed to advancing the T. Wall Foundation’s mission by helping to expand opportunities and support for children with special needs and their families.
Erik Braun: Erik serves as Vice President of Development at Henry Ford Health, where he leads philanthropic strategy and major gift efforts to support innovation, research, and community health initiatives across the system. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, Erik has helped generate transformative impact for leading institutions throughout Southeast Michigan.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Michigan State University and has dedicated his career to advancing health equity and access. Erik brings a passion for relationship-building and mission-driven work to everything he does.
Erik lives in Metro Detroit with his wife and two daughters. He is proud to support the T. Wall Foundation’s commitment to uplifting children with special needs and believes deeply in the power of inclusive community support.
Cara Peterson: Cara is the President and CEO of Liberty Athletic Club, a premier health and fitness facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since assuming leadership in 2008, she has been instrumental in expanding the club's offerings and fostering a strong sense of community among its members. With a background in marketing from Arizona State University, Cara brings a strategic vision and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Under her guidance, Liberty Athletic Club has not only enhanced its fitness programs but also strengthened its community engagement initiatives. Cara's leadership reflects a dedication to creating inclusive spaces that promote health and well-being for all.
Cara resides in the Ann Arbor area with her husband, Mark, and their family. She is honored to serve on the board of the T. Wall Foundation, where she contributes her expertise to support children with special needs and their families.
Delia Powell: Delia is a nationally certified adapted physical educator (CAPE) and the 2023 Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year for Michigan, recognized by the Society of Health and Physical Educators of Michigan (SHAPE-MI). She serves as an adapted physical education teacher at High Point School through the Washtenaw Intermediate School District and is the co-curricular director of athletics and clubs at Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor.
Delia earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a minor in Health Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Education in Kinesiology with a focus on adapted physical education from Wayne State University. Her career has been dedicated to creating inclusive, community-based physical education experiences for students with disabilities, incorporating activities such as ice skating, fishing, and unified sports.
Born in Saginaw and raised in a military family, Delia has lived in Whitmore Lake for over a decade with her husband, David, and their two children. She is passionate about ensuring all students feel a sense of belonging and joy in movement. Delia is proud to support the T. Wall Foundation’s mission of empowering children with special needs and their families.
Joseph Hornyak: Dr. Joseph is a Clinical Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Medical School and Medical Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation at Michigan Medicine. He specializes in the care of children with disabilities, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and neuromuscular disorders.
Dr. Hornyak earned his MD and PhD in Exercise Physiology from the Medical College of Ohio and completed his fellowship at the University of Michigan. A nationally recognized educator, he has received multiple teaching awards and leads efforts in interprofessional education and inclusive care. He has helped develop multidisciplinary clinics to improve access and outcomes for children and families facing complex medical challenges. His research explores how exercise and rehabilitation impact long-term health in individuals with disabilities. Dr. Hornyak is also actively involved in mentoring the next generation of physicians and healthcare leaders.

Sean Maymi: Sean is the Head Coach of the University of Michigan Men’s Tennis Team, bringing over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience. He previously served as Michigan’s associate head coach and returned as head coach in 2023 after leading the University of Nebraska to record-setting success.
Sean has coached numerous NCAA Tournament teams and mentored ATP professionals, including former Wolverine Evan King. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of North Florida, where he was a four-year letterwinner and team captain.
He is known for fostering a culture of integrity, resilience, and academic excellence among his student-athletes. Sean is passionate about developing leadership on and off the court and building programs that serve the broader community. His coaching philosophy centers on effort, character, and continuous improvement.
Sean lives in Ann Arbor with his wife, Samantha, and their five children. He is honored to support the T. Wall Foundation’s mission of uplifting children with special needs and their families.
Joseph Molloy: Joseph is a Senior Vice President and Market Director at UBS, where he leads teams in the Plymouth and Ann Arbor offices. With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Joe is known for building strong, trust-based relationships and guiding individuals and families through thoughtful, long-term planning.
A graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Economics, Joe is a proud Ann Arbor alum and lifelong Wolverine. He began his career in the early 1990s and has held leadership roles at several respected firms before joining UBS in 2009. Joe is passionate about mentorship and has helped develop young professionals throughout his career. He also believes in the importance of giving back and stays actively involved in community initiatives across Southeast Michigan.
Joe lives in Northville with his wife of over 30 years, Janine, and their two children, Joey and Paige. He is proud to serve on the board of the T. Wall Foundation and to help advance its mission of supporting children with special needs and their families.
Zoë Bormet: Zoë is an athlete on the University of Michigan Women’s Field Hockey Team and a standout both on and off the field. A native of Ann Arbor and graduate of Pioneer High School, Zoë was a four-year varsity starter and earned numerous accolades, including NFHCA First Team All-American and Michigan High School Field Hockey Association Player of the Year in 2021.
At Michigan, Zoë has been recognized for her academic excellence, earning spots on the NFHCA National Academic Squad and being named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. She is also actively involved in community service through Team IMPACT, where she mentors young individuals with serious illnesses, emphasizing the importance of leadership and resilience.
Zoë is the daughter of Sean and Teri Bormet, both of whom have deep ties to the University of Michigan. Her father, Sean, is a former All-American wrestler and currently serves as Michigan's head wrestling coach, while her mother, Teri, earned her Ph.D. from the university. Zoë is proud to support the T. Wall Foundation’s mission of empowering children with special needs and their families.
Zack Mattin: Zack is an athlete on the University of Michigan Wrestling Team. A native of Delta, Ohio, Zack comes from a family deeply rooted in wrestling; his father, Mike, was a collegiate wrestler, and his older brothers, Drew and Cole, also wrestled for Michigan. Zack has demonstrated academic excellence, maintaining a high GPA in biology, health, and society, and earning recognition as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and NWCA Scholar All-American.
On the mat, Zack has shown promise with notable performances, including a third-place finish at the Michigan State Open and victories over ranked opponents. He is respected by teammates and coaches for his work ethic, leadership, and humility. Zack also mentors younger student-athletes and takes pride in serving as a role model within the Michigan athletics community.
Zack is honored to support the T. Wall Foundation’s mission of empowering children with special needs and their families. He finds great meaning in using his platform as a student-athlete to give back and inspire others beyond the wrestling room.
Carly Greskovics: Carly is an athlete on the University of Michigan Women’s Volleyball Team. Originally from Manhattan Beach, California, Carly brings energy, discipline, and a team-first mindset to the court. A graduate of Mira Costa High School, she is known for her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence both on and off the court. Her dedication has earned her recognition as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Off the court, Carly is pursuing a degree in Sport Management and is actively involved in community service. She serves on the board of the T. Wall Foundation, where she is committed to supporting children with special needs and their families.
Carly is honored to contribute to the T. Wall Foundation’s mission, using her platform as a student-athlete to make a positive impact beyond the volleyball court. She hopes to continue building inclusive opportunities that uplift and empower young people facing unique challenges.
